A documented gas-appliance check
Pinnacle’s gas-appliance safety-check workflow is designed to document useful information instead of ending with a vague “looks okay.” Depending on the appliance and scope, the check can capture the appliance type, fuel, model, serial number and applicable gas-pressure information along with observed operating condition.
This service is useful when a homeowner wants a baseline before heating season, has recently moved into a home with an unfamiliar gas appliance, or wants the appliance identified and its basic operation reviewed.
What the check can document
- Manufacturer, model and serial information when accessible.
- Natural gas versus propane/LP identification when determinable.
- Applicable inlet/manifold pressure readings within the actual service scope.
- Ignition and basic operating observations.
- Visible condition issues noted during the service visit.
A gas check is not an emergency leak-response service
If you smell gas, hear escaping gas or believe there is an active leak, leave the area and contact the gas utility/provider or 911 from a safe location. Do not wait for a normal website service request.
Bring the appliance history if you have it
Old manuals, prior service invoices, conversion labels and photographs can all help. If the appliance has been converted between natural gas and LP in the past, mention that when you call or text.
